The 1845 Connect Supper Club was founded in 2005 by Sharon Hooton, attracting high-calibre local business owners and directors on the third Tuesday of each month over a sumptuous dinner to share their experience, challenges and successes with each other. Many of us even went on to do business together.
Before the lockdowns, Sharon handed over the reins of 1845 Connect to Ian Woollard of The Academy Partnership and James Hunt from Everyman Advisory. Now that things are (mostly) back to normal we’ve relaunched the club.
We want to re-build a coalition of business owners. The last 18 months have been hard for many, and increasingly the tables appear turned in favour of Big Business. But there is great strength in local connections.
The club connects business owners for learning and friendship over a top-notch two or three course supper each month. Regularly being in a room with the owners and directors of successful local companies gives you the opportunity to share your own experience and to learn – both from your peers and our hand-picked guest speakers.
